Kiss Drawing Jam
A couple of drawing jams... the theme was Kiss. There was no chosen style, so I just tried to cartoonify them. I may print out some style refs for the next one.

Tangled
I loved Tangled. I hope the new animation developments they made while making that movie will allow me to have more opportunities in the animation workforce. =)

Some Illustrations
Some scans out of my sketchbook.
This drawing is of "Star" from the first season of the show, "The Tester". I know most people didn't like her, but I thought she had a good attitude. So there.

Camp Kids Revised
I worked again on my camp kids. I'm also doing a head rotation of the oldest character. I will try to put it up here when I'm done.

Character Design
Here are some character designs I worked on so far this semester. It's hard to do, but I'm having so much fun here.
Camp kids. They are underwater kids, the young ones are 8 and the older one is 13. She's trying to teach them how to make bubbles.

Scans from my Sketchbook
These are all scans from my Storyboard Class sketchbook. (Don't look at these til Oct.20th, Tara!)
They're all done with Touch brand markers. They were first sketched with col-erase pencil (blue or purple) and in some cases outlined with Faber-Castell fine markers. I used a bit of crayola marker and some other markers in some of them (like Pro-marker and Prismacolor)....
I feel like I'm getting a better hang of markers! These aren't in any order in particular. They were all done in the past couple of weeks except for the Tom Green one.
For most of them I used reference photos.

^^This is the Tom Green one, aka the oldest one in this post.^^

POST 100
Well, so this is my 100th post. (EDIT JAN. 12, 2012 - This is no longer my 100th post due to some post deleting for cleaning purposes!) I figured since I just began animation school, that I would post all the things I've done before I started classes. These pieces were mostly done in Newfoundland. A lot were done during the 24 Hour Art Marathon in St. John's. I taught a workshop while I was there about artmaking and idea application. It went pretty well and I think people had fun. Enjoy!
This was made during Benjamin Allain's artist workshop. We had to draw on pre-made coffee spills. We drew what we saw in the spill. I saw an elk thing and some skulls.

This is a concept for an acrylic painting. I don't know if I'll ever get time to paint it, but I enjoy the watercolour sketches I did for it.

This final image was done because I was listening to the song, "Here in My Room" by Incubus.
HAPPY 100th!
Now hopefully you'll see some serious improvement. Onward to Animation Classes!
