Here are some examples of the work I'm doing for my future application to animation school... Someday. For now, I'm staying in Halifax. Doesn't hurt to get started though, does it?

The portfolio asks for 5 examples of hand and 5 examples of foot drawings. here are some examples!

This one looks kind of "epic"... it was done in watercolour and the scanner elaborated the wavyness of the paper. I left it that way because it made it stand out.

Here is something I drew the other day, I'm thinking about working it up in photoshop as a sort of logo or something. Plans are unfinished at this time.

Songbird.

Here's a little something that I did a while back. It's sitting in a frame on my desk right now, but it will soon find a home with my friend. She claimed it a while ago and never retrieved it from my place yet! I thought I would scan it before it was gone forever!

Digital Photos

Here are some examples of my digital photography. They aren't in any particular order. This is the closest to a gallery style post I can seem to get with Blogger. I can't wait to buy webhosting.

Some works.

Here is an example of a piece of my fourth year work. This was taken at a show 2 of my colleagues and I held at the Arts and Culture centre in 2008 called, "Mamasaymamasaw". It has to do with dreaming and paper cranes.

This is a digital rendition of a set of headphones I used to use. Done in Photoshop.

Here is a spliced photograph. I painted the bird inside the cage, and found the cage in google images. The hard part was erasing the bars in the right order! haha

I'm working on figuring out how to post a sort of  "photo gallery" style post. Blogger is strange in that it's sort of a mix of what I'd do when coding a website and then having some done for me.

Interesting.

Portfolio Work

Here is an example of what I'm trying to produce for my new portfolio. This portfolio is an attempt to display my digital work, more so than my drawing skill- which will be the focus of my animation school portfolio. Anyway, here's something I've done from a cut-paper rough copy!

This is done in Adobe Illustrator, I was thinking of using it as the cover for a mother's journal type thing... about her baby. I think the colours might need some tweaking!

Back to her!

Here is a little something I did today while I had some free time after work! I really enjoyed working on this. We don't have a scanner good enough or big enough to scan this piece, so I had to take a photograph of it. It doesn't do the watercolour justice! But alas, here it is!

Decision

Okay, here is my attempt at starting out a sketchblog since I can't afford to buy a website yet. A weekly update should help keep me on track with my arting! I'm having trouble posting on here, but hopefully this is a one-time problem that will be fixed in seconds!

  Here come some sketches.

This tightrope walker was the first sketch I've done in a long time... I'm finally drawing again! Since my trip to Cape
Breton!

This abstract sketch was a plan I had in first year for a project... it came out quite nicely in the end, I may take a photo of it someday!

This is a wee penguin I drew today. Our scanner is a piece of crap, so I lost all my colour info in an attempt to eliminate a pink tint. Sigh.

This thing is seriously bugged.
