The Legend of Korra

I leave for a mini-trip to Miramichi tomorrow. I'm going to bring up some of my stuff (bed, dishes) to my new apartment! Yay!

I don't know if you've all heard about the sequel to Avatar: The Last Airbender TV Series--- The Legend of Korra. I AM SO EXCITED.

Here is a wee fanart of her doing some water bending. I scanned a sketch and did the cleanup/colouring in Flash. It turned out pretty good for the amount of practice I have with the program. Took a long time... But I'm happy with it! I can't wait to see what my skills will be like once I graduate school! EE!

Anyway... Enjoy!

Painting in PS

I'm trying to improve my painting skills... So I thought I'd start off with something fairly easy- Cartoon face. I think I'm learning. =D I LOVE learning.

Mar markers

Today I begin my vacation now that my shift is over. =) I am happy.

Cleaning Up

I decided to clear out my old deviantart gallery and delete it. The username was "Pingu6312" and had been "dead" for about 6 years. It was about time! Here are 4 pieces I saved. They were all done in 2003 when I was about 16-17.

I had a huge crush on a boy. This image was a result... done in watercolour pencils I do believe.

This was inspired by The Dark Crystal movie. Jim Henson and Brian Froud's creations are always fantastic.

This was back when I was seriously into Anthro art. I still kind of am deep down... I find I've really lost my knack for it though. I had started colouring digitally back then. I'm kind of sad I went to university in one TINY way, in that I didn't practice drawing or digitally colouring or anything like that that much. Lots of "high" art but not nearly enough drawing practice. I think that's the one thing I'd change if I could go back in time... practice more.

Was, and still am a huge LotR fan. Hehe My old gallery was filled with Lord of the Rings stuff.

Anyway, I better get back to watermarking my current artwork. Thanks for taking this trip with me down memory lane!

Funnyish story.

I had this big plan today in which I would practice my markers and then practice my photoshopping. I started with marker... found out that there's a right and wrong side of the marker paper. I scanned in my drawing and my practice ended up being solely Photoshop oriented.

Katara and Aang.. adulty-ness. In some weird place. Yes.

Edit: I like it better without a background!

Bird Head Man

Drew this at work today. Yep.

Practicepracticepractice

My first piece using markers on actual marker paper. Wee fanart of Hitomi from Vision of Escaflowne. LOVE that anime.

Third try: Katara from the cartoon: Avatar- The Last Airbender. My current fav cartoon("anime?").

A Jelly. My second try with the makers on marker paper. I was trying out blending. It didn't work as well as I had hoped.

Random watercolour on crappy watercolour paper. I like the colours, though.

This was my latest work using markers. I really like it! Birds on a Wire.

And a lovely angry man that will belong to my bbfitww, Alicia! For her Birthday. <3 Or whatever holiday comes up. Haha.
