Perspective Class

I'm taking a class in perspective. The first class went over 1 point and 2 point perspective. Our second class was "draw this hallway in 1 point." Here are the results of those lessons.

In the first class: He hauled out a giant cube (metal bars) and told us to draw it. Then halfway through he tossed on a pillow and told us to include that with some tonal study.

Here he showed us how to prop up our drawing boards, and we spent the next 2 and a half hours breaking our backs drawing the hallway in front of us in one point perspective. I'm learning a lot and starting to enjoy perspective. Crazy huh?

  1. Me too. It always looks so hardcore! I'm kinda bad at it though. Sometimes it just blows my mind. I'm hoping to get better at it in time.

  2. Perspective is evil. My brain just can't wrap itself around the whole three dimensional space conundrum!

  3. I find it really easy to do once I'm in the right mood, but to get to that mood? SO HARD!! What gets me are ellipses. I can do most other stuff, but not ellipses. That's next week or the week after though. I'll have to post my learnins here! ;)

I really need to work on people in perspective now that I have shapes down...
